I am thrilled to share groundbreaking news for both Stimulus Technologies and the state of Nevada!
Our company has been awarded $142.6 million under the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program as part of Nevada’s High-Speed Nevada Initiative Phase III. This funding is a pivotal step in our mission to bridge the digital divide, delivering fiber-optic high-speed broadband to over 17,000 unserved and underserved locations across rural Nevada.
This achievement is more than just securing funding—it’s a testament to our commitment to transforming connectivity in Nevada’s most remote communities. Let’s explore why fiber broadband is crucial for Nevada’s future and what this award means for residents across the state.
Why Fiber-Optic Infrastructure is Critical for Nevada
Nevada’s geography poses challenges for broadband expansion. The vast distances between rural communities and difficult terrain make traditional broadband deployment costly and technically difficult. As a result, many areas have remained disconnected due to a lack of private investment.
The COVID-19 pandemic underscored the essential role of high-speed internet in modern life. From remote work and online education to telemedicine and e-commerce, broadband is no longer a luxury—it’s a necessity. Yet, many rural Nevadans have been left behind due to unreliable infrastructure.
This is where fiber-optic technology changes the game. Fiber offers unmatched speed, reliability, and scalability, supporting gigabit and multi-gigabit services. Once installed, fiber networks can be upgraded without costly infrastructure changes, making it a future-proof solution for decades to come.
What the BEAD Program Means for Nevada
The BEAD program, created under the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, allocated $42.5 billion nationwide to expand broadband access. Nevada received $416 million, with additional funding from the Capital Projects Fund and State Fiscal Recovery Fund to ensure every unserved and underserved location is connected.
Through this program, 19 providers, including Stimulus Technologies, were selected to build broadband networks. Over 80% of these projects will use fiber-optic technology, ensuring affordable, high-speed internet for thousands of Nevadans.
At Stimulus Technologies, we are honored to lead one of the largest fiber deployments under this initiative. Our goal is not just about technology—it’s about equity and opportunity for all Nevadans.

A Heartfelt Thank You
This achievement would not be possible without the support of our partners and stakeholders.
- The Governor’s Office of Science, Innovation, and Technology (OSIT) for leading Nevada’s BEAD application
- Federal and state officials who recognized the importance of broadband in rural communities
- Our incredible team at Stimulus Technologies, whose dedication makes this vision possible
We are proud to be part of a broader effort to close the digital divide and create a more connected, prosperous Nevada.
What’s Next?
While this funding is a major milestone, the real work begins now. Over the next few months, we will:
- Finalize project timelines
- Secure necessary permits
- Ramp up construction efforts
Our goal is to begin service rollouts within the next few years, starting with areas we already serve with fixed wireless.
We will keep everyone updated via our website and social media channels. I encourage residents to reach out with questions or suggestions as we move forward.
Together, we can build a brighter future for Nevada—where no community is left behind in the digital age.
Thank you for your support!
